Today, Year 5 were able to visit All Saints Church, in Perry Street. We were greeted by Father Clive who helped us learn more about the Christian belief of Holy Week. We explored the idea of 'God's plan' for Jesus and 'Jesus' destiny'. We were able to explore the church, looking at the 15 stations which describe Jesus' final journey. We also discovered how Christians believe Jesus died for us and was resurrected to show eternal life, which is why we celebrate 'New Life and beginnings' at Easter. In Year 3 we have been learning about the Stone Age. We looked at how where they lived changed over time to meet the way they lived. During the Neolithic period, Stone Age people stopped relying on hunting and gathering and started to farm. This meant they could live in one place rather than being nomadic. During this time they built simple dwellings. We looked at archeologists findings to discover what a Stone Age house would look like and then recreated them out of clay. ... See MoreSee Less
